NFL Wk 16: Redskins should place the blame at the top
I feel sorry for Redskins owner Dan Snyder. Here is a life-long Skins' fan who worked hard to live his dream of owning his beloved hometown team.
He has worked hard to give his team ample resources to win.
He has built a new stadium and turned a floundering franchise into a financial juggernaut.
He brought back the franchises legendary coach, Joe Gibbs, to right the ship.
He tried a fresh set of eyes and offensive wizard, Jim Zorn.
He drank the kool-aid & hired the current, marquis coach- the 'mastermind', Mike Shanahan.
But they still suck on the field.
In 2009, 4-12 was good enough to get Zorn the boot. This year the 'Almighty' Shanahans (plural) are sporting a record of 5-9.
Who gets the bulk of the blame?

The head coach of a team with:
- 5-9 record
- league's worst defense
- O-line that ranks 30th of 32 teams?
- 18th ranked offense run by his son, Kyle?
Nope...the QB, 6-time pro-bowler Donovan McNabb; it's his first year in a completely new system on a terrible team.
At some point you must look at the the man steering the ship...even if he (and his 'didn't earn it' son) is infallible.
