Manny Pacquiao is the greatest fighter ever!
Ali is the icon.
Marciano, Frazier, Robinson, Leonard, Louis, Hagler, Hearns, Chavez, De la Hoya, Lewis, Jones, Foreman, Duran, Arguello, Tyson, Trinidad and a few others that I've certainly overlooked ( no disrespect intended) were all amazing in their primes. But the accomplishments of the gentleman from General Santos City are without peer.
Manny isn't merely the current pound for pound king. He is the best ever regardless of era or circumstances!

What about Floyd? I think that virtually everyone thinks Pac Man is the best fighter ever, but he wouldn't fight Mayweather because of drug testing. If he's fighting clean, why wouldn't he agree to the fight and make a cool $50 million+ for spending 36 minutes in the ring with Mayweather and erase all doubt as to his world dominance of boxing? I guess in my mind there's a cloud hanging over Pacquiao's greatness.

It’s very hard to disagree with such a distinguished fraternity of Boxing Champions. However, I would respectfully submit one of the possibly ‘overlooked’ fighters to be added to your sub-group is former Heavy Weight Champion, Larry HOLMES (69-6-44 KO’s) over a career span of nearly 30 years.

I wholeheartedly agree with your comments. Not only is Manny an excellent fighter but even more importantly he is a wonderful human being. He could teach all of us a thing or two about compassion, sportsmanship, and grace.
