If Anderson Silva truly thinks that Chael was just lucky and it could never happen again and/or his performance was merely a matter of nursing a rib injury...the end is near.
If Anderson Silva is truly a student of the game and takes UFC 117 as an opportunity for improvement and trains hard on takedown defense and escaping the guard back to his feet (and not merely changing position on the ground)...he will evolve into an even more dominant champion. Fighting effectively from your back is one thing...just look at Sonnen's face. But not being forced to fight from your back because you can defend a take down and/or escape is an even better strategy.
