Retired Government Officials going to work for the other side...Hmmm
You see it all the time. Retired government officials going to work for industries that they just a few short moments ago were responsible for regulating.
Ex-Senators and Congressional Reps (an occasional Vice-President or two) retire or get voted out and quickly go to work for large companies doing work for the government.
Ex-military brass get into bed with huge Dept. of Defense contractors just after billion dollar contracts were awarded.
It makes you wonder if the government official was really doing 'the work of the people' or merely auditioning for a much better paying job down the road?
Well thankfully this would never happen in the world of sports.
None of the underpaid and overworked State Athletic Commission (SAC) members would ever do such a thing. Do you know how hard it is to be forced to sit in free ringside seats to all of those UFC, Mayweather and Pacquiao fights?
I mean just imagine if an ex- executive director of a premiere SAC (like Nevada) went to work for the world's largest MMA promoter (like the UFC) that he/she was just responsible for regulating?
I mean that promoter didn't get any unfair advantages, favorable rulings or enhanced access to the process??
Nah...This is America...people can't be bought. A regulator would never turn a blind-eye for a freebie or a really good paying, cush job.
Right?
Now I understand why people don't like me.

you're right on...this country is so corrupt, well its like its being tested to see how long till it implodes. The depression/recession that we cant get out of is a direct result of financial regulators either not enforcing the laws or letting the large banks leverage their money to the point where things blew up....the oil tragedy is a result of the Minerals and Mining office (who were very cozy with the oil companys) letting the oil rig get away with risky practices. These our just the big obvious things with countless other things going on all the time.
One question id like to ask the politians is "what's the difference between lobbying and bribery"?
