Winter Olympics: In 1 day Vonn, Davis and White all claimed Gold...but only 2 will cash in.
The US team had a big day with 3 Gold medals in one historic day. Lindsey Vonn, the SI cover girl, overcame injury to win the women's downhill. Shaun White did a 'McTwisty' (whatever that is) to rule the snowboard half-pipe. Shani Davis repeated by taking the 1,000 meter speed skating crown.
Congratulations to all. Job well done!! Your country is proud.
The sad reality is that 2 of the 3 amazing Olympians will be afforded many opportunities to parlay their glory into millions of dollars and one will fade back into obscurity and a 9 to 5.
And sadder still...we all know which unfortunate person that is.

I look forward to your blogs everyday. Especially the ones about mma. But the black and white thing is getting a little out of hand with you. Von and White will go on to make millions because their events are more popular. Not because of their color. Was Larry Bird more popular than Michael Jordan? No. You would think because Michael was BLACK, people would down play his accomplishments. I could make a ton of comparisons about this. I understand MMA needing to be more diverse in choosing ring girls or even the NFL wanting to be more diverse while selecting coaches. But c'mon dude this makes me want to unsubscribe from the blog. Yes you guessed it. I'm one of your white readers. Dont hold that against me.
