MMA battling the racist fringe
I have often made unpopular comments about the racist fringe in MMA. It seems that many fans would prefer to overlook this element of the sport.
The size, scope or influence of this dark element are all legitimate and debatable questions but its' existence is not.
Apparently the UFC & WEC has banned a controversial T-shirt maker from sponsoring their fighters. The T-shirt maker in question features symbols that were and continue to be used by Nazi and neo-Nazi groups.
I applaud the stance of the management of the UFC & WEC.
Some things are just wrong. To allow the perpetuation of malicious beliefs and/or rhetoric by commission or omission is equally wrong.
