UFC 107: BJ Penn vs Diego Sanchez
UFC 107 goes to Memphis without hometown fighter, Rampage Jackson. Dana White cannot be happy about this misstep. Who could have known that Rampage was a closet thespian?
The show must go on, so BJ Penn faces off against another wanna be Hollywood actor in Diego Sanchez. I don't see this ending well for Diego. Sanchez is a serious fighter but 'the prodigy' he is not.
Don't get me wrong. I am not against fighters looking for ways to supplement their incomes or for exploring potential opportunities for their lives after their fighting careers are over. But they must recognize that fighting put them on the map and pays the bills. So as they in my home state of Texas 'you gotta dance with the one that brung ya'
