Tim Tebow's return from a concussion is NOT a matter of toughness
The Florida Gator's 'all-everything' QB Tim Tebow went down Saturday Sept. 26th with a serious concussion. He lay on the field nearly motionless for a few minutes. He then went to the bench and vomited. He spent the night in the hospital for observation. And he still has a headache 3 days later and counting.
The Gators play LSU in a SEC death match on Oct. 10th. (less than 12 days away). With Tim continuing to have symptoms his appearance in the LSU game should be highly unlikely. I say 'should' because his doctors are under an extreme pressure to clear him for a return to competition
Everyone in Gator nation wants Tim to play in that game. Coach Meyer said that Tim is "tough as nails" and "hopes" that he can play.
I am certain that both of Coach Meyer's statements are true and well intentioned. His love for Tebow is well known.
But...
Tim's return from this serious concussion is NOT a matter of toughness. He could fairly easily strap on his helmet and go out there on the field and compete. No one doubts that.
But at what personal risk.
Is potentially watching Tim Tebow stretched out on the field seizing or worse, on national television, really worth a win over LSU?
