Will a potential 4 game suspension hurt Michael Vick?
After this recent meeting with the NFL Commish, rumors are swirling that Mike Vick will soon be reinstated with a 4 game suspension.
If this turns out to be true, some people say that it will hurt his play on the field and his chances to get signed buy a NFL team. Others say that his best bet is to play in the developmental UFL in order to work off the rust and showcase his abilities.
I think that all those opinions have merit but Michael Vick's biggest challenge will not be on the grid iron but convincing an owner and organization to endure the protesters and PR nightmare that is sure to materialize.
A 4-game suspension will provide him more time to learn a new offense and to regain his timing. Remember, he hasn't played football in more than 2 years now. But he has had the benefit of resting for those 2 years and allowing his body to heal and not endure another 30 or so games of NFL punishment.
The UFL is potentially an interesting option. Orlando has his rights and being in a mid-sized market and out of the harsh media glare of a major city and a NFL franchise might not be such a bad thing.
But let's be honest...wherever Michael Vick goes the media glare is sure to follow.

Michael Vicks served 23 months in federal prison. He has definitely over payed his debt to society, whoever that may be. I say let the man return to his job with a full-time status in the NFL without further punishment. Michael played football; He didn't work for the Humane Society. What happened to redemption and forgiveness? I agree with Jesus; He without sin cast the first stone. What impact or we sending to our youth if we as adults choose not to forgive. Should they be led to believe that once you make a mistake your life is over forever? It's sad when you live in a society wherein you can do 100 good things, but only remembered and judged by the 1 thing you did wrong. Now tell me where is the justice in that? I think which ever NFL team Michael Vick plays for will be pleasantly blessed because Michael has something to prove--His legacy.
