Judge Sonia Sotomayor: Another step towards a more perfect Union
With President Obama's nomination of Federal Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court, America continues its' march towards a more perfect Union. It is hard to believe that once confirmed Judge Sotomayor will be only the third woman ever seated at the highest court in the land.

As has been well documented over the last few days, Judge Sotomayor is a shining example of the best of America. She is a true embodiment of the American experiment: work hard, get a good education and only be limited by one's abilities.
For a Puerto Rican girl from a housing project in the South Bronx to graduate from Princeton then Yale Law, experience a meteoric rise as a judge through the federal court system and now knocking on the door of the highest court in the land...if these are not the credentials of an American hero, I don't know what qualifies.
