Womens MMA (WMMA) better have more than one bullet

Women's MMA (WMMA) has one and apparently only one marquee match up.  Gina Carano vs. Cris Cyborg.

This a bout that holds a tremendous amount of interest in the MMA world...but is there another?

Strikeforce seems to be the most logical promoter for this possible event but they best not fire that bullet until they have a series of competitive women's fights to follow up with.  Or interest in WMMA on any significant level will quickly vanish.

Momentum is only useful if it can be harnessed and focused.  Otherwise, it is likely to become wasted energy and unrealized potential.

Admittedly, I am not a true fan of WMMA, mostly due to the current lack of depth of talented competitors (there are a few good fighters but they are in different weight classes for the most part).  With that being said, I am always a fan of a good competitive bout.  I would love to see WMMA succeed.

But I fear that it may be rushed for the quick buck and become one and done.
