Should Michael Vick be allowed back into the NFL? If so ...would you want him?
Should he? Would I? Hell Yes!!
Fact: Michael Vick, by his own admission, was involved in some"heinous" acts.
Fact: Michael Vick has paid a tremendous price for his transgressions.
Let the man get own with his life and attempt to become a contributing, law abiding citizen. Allow him the opportunity to use his talents to support himself and his family. Give his creditors some remote chance of collecting the money that is owed to them.
Almost every person should have a chance to redeem themselves and to regain their self respect (there are a few exceptions in my book).
Roger Goodell should reinstate Michael Vick and allow him to test the waters. Michael should have the opportunity to see if any team is willing take a chance on him.
If I owned an NFL franchise (GOD are reading this?), I would grant a tryout to Mr. Vick and see what he's got. I would mandate psychological testing. I would spend time with him personally. Then if I was pleased with all of the above, I would clearly explain to Michael what I expected and required of him. If he could fully commit to my demands (not desires) then, and only then, we could talk money.
We would do it my way...because clearly, his way didn't work.
