NFL WR Donte Stallworth another alcohol related casualty

By all accounts Donte Stallworth is a good dude.  I know a few people that know him and they all say very nice things about him.  But even nice guys are not immune to the potentially devastating effects of alcohol.

Alcohol is a drug that seems to play some role in most of the negative events surrounding professional athletes.  What is it going to take to better prepare these young men for the realities of their new multi-million dollar lives?

Should the NFL, NBA or MLB do more?  Or is this just a personal problem that lies solely with the individual?  Interesting academic question but the reality is- this HUGE problem with alcohol is a demon that needs to be attacked from all sides.

The inappropriate use of alcohol continues to destroy men, families and careers.  Virtually every family has experienced alcohol related pain and agony.  Therefore, we all bear responsibility in creating a viable solution.

The family of Mario Reyes is dealing with the sudden loss of their loved one and the Stallworth family has struggles of its own.

I pray for both families.
