Philly would be a great host city for the UFC

Legislators in Pennsylvania have seen the light and legalized MMA competition in the Keystone State.  The quality of the sport and potential revenue source in this harsh economy were just too much to continue to ignore...hint...hint...NY State Assembly.

Philadelphia is a great sports town and has venues that are well suited for a UFC event. Both the Wachovia Center and Liacouras Center (on the Temple Univ. campus) are first rate venues that provide easy access for fans.  A 2-3 hour train ride to 30th Street Station makes Philly a central location for fans from NYC to the Baltimore/DC area.

Philly has a proud boxing tradition. With the recent MMA success of Eddie Alvarez, the 'city of brotherly love (and cheese steaks)' is primed for a major MMA event.
