Tiger's baaack !!
Just in time to save the PGA tour's miserable TV ratings, Tiger Woods is making a return to competition.
ACL surgery, a brand spankin' new baby boy and 8 months of rest will combine to temporarily affect his game. But I believe the 8 month absence from the game (not the ACL surgery) will be the biggest hurdle to clear.
Pundits wonder how long it will take for Tiger to gain confidence in the knee and get the whole surgery issue out of his mind. I don't know for certain but the mere fact that he can swing a club and walk the course without significant pain must be very reassuring. Remember, Tiger doesn't play a contact sport. Golf will be fun again and not a labor of agony.
Tiger may be a bit rusty and in search of his touch but his opponents will not be able to feast for long.
