UFC Fight Night 17...the genius of Dana White

Love him or hate him..Dana White is 'gangsta'.  The entire Fight Night concept is truly an education in The Art of the Hustle.

Hustler 101

Take a slightly watered down version of an addictive product, package it well, take it live to the target demographic (a testosterone rich, college campus with a high concentration of 18-34 white males) and give them a taste of the product for a price that they can afford (avg. ticket price of $56).  Oh yeah...plenty of cheap beer and silicone enhanced 'scrippers', I mean ring card girls don't hurt either.

Can you think of a better way to create new junkies?  Anyone who has ever attended a live UFC sponsored event leaves with the shakes...jones'n for more.

Dana showcases his up and coming talent, lets the live gate carry the expense and then shotguns it for free on Spike TV to hardcore MMA addicts across the  continent...genius.

Now he steps up his game to Hustler 201.

Once he's got you hooked, no more freebies.  He jacks up the price.

Full strength UFC events average closer to $300 ticket price and $44.95 ppv.

Gotcha...don't fight it...just relax and feel it.

Now Dana aka ' Dr. Frank White" is about to go raw dog and reveal his Hustler PhD.  Ever heard of the 360-deal for the fighter?

Don't fret...Dr. White is about to teach you all about it.

Dana White, I ain't mad at you...everyone knows the rules.

Don't hate the player.  Hate the game.
