Shane Mosley..."what more can I say"
| On Saturday night, Shane Mosley borrowed from the lyrics of legendary rapper Jay-z in his utter annihilation of the 'Most avoided man in boxing", Antonio Margarito. "what more can I say"...nothing. As a 4 to 1 underdog going into this fight, many (your's truly included) unnecessarily feared for Shane's safety. Margarito's destruction of common opponent Miguel Cotto (a fighter that beat Shane in a hard fought contest) made this appear to be an ugly match up for Mr. Mosley. Most thought that Shane's 'only chance was' to 'box' the younger, taller, stronger, hungrier and busier Margarito. To have a prayer, he needed to jab and stay away from the 'Tijuana tornado'. He was supposed to take a page out of his stable mate's (Bernard Hopkins) play book and 'school' the young boy without taking much risk. Mr. Shane Mosley (and I did say Mr. ...I don't want him looking for me!) chose a different route. Let's call it the path less traveled. He stepped to him and busted him dead in the mouth!! As my father would say, "that boy hit him everywhere but the soles of his feet"! Shane beat him to the body mercilessly and when he smelled blood it really got ugly.
