WEC: These 'little' guys are hard to beat

On November 4th, I witnessed Obama and on Nov. 5th, I witnessed the WEC-Faber vs. Brown card.  These were consecutive nights of history as far as I am concerned.  On both nights the world had an opportunity to view something special.

I agree that in terms of historical and humanitarian significance these events were not equal but as a MMA and sports enthusiast...I'm not complaining

There was some concern in the MMA-universe when the 'almighty' owners of both the UFC and WEC brands (Zuffa llc) decided to roll the heavier weight classes of the WEC into the UFC.  Thus, leaving the WEC as the fight domain of the 'little guys'.

Well as Nov. 5th so masterfully exhibited, those 'little guys' bring BIG, action packed fights.  In 10 bouts there were 6-tko/ko's, 1-submission and only 3-decisions.

The WEC also does  not protect its' stars; just ask Uriah Faber and Jens Pulver. I still can't believe what I saw!!

Note to all the up and coming MMA promotions out there- the UFC is out of reach so study the WEC and model yourself accordingly.

Note to the fighters- fans won't hold an honest loss against you (Faber and Pulver) but we will NOT forgive a lack of effort and utter disrespect (Filho).
