Barack Obama is a significant step towards a more perfect Union
The American people won last night with their overwhelming public support of Barack Obama. Last night, America commanded the attention of the entire planet. America's beacon of hope now shines bright with the full strength of all its' people.
It would be dismissive to think that this is a victory for only Black people. This is a victory for all people who believe that a person should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.
With the obvious advancement of the vast majority of American people, racism remains unfortunately alive but thankfully not so well.
May God bless America. May God bless the enlightened people of the world. And may God bless President-elect Barack Obama.

While in the US Army in 1953 in Columbus, GA, I learned about Black and White water fountains and Etc.
Being from the Bronx, NY I was shocked.
I'm glad that this Country is growing up.
